Polk County’s junior varsity baseball team dropped a 10-0 decision Thursday at East Henderson in a non-conference matchup that ended after four innings.
The Wolverines (0-5) were limited to three hits against the Eagles’ pitching staff, with Matt Jarrett, Oakley Whiteside and Callum Eadus each going 1-for-2 at the plate. Despite the offensive challenges, Aaden Denton showed promise on the basepaths, drawing a walk, getting hit by a pitch and stealing three bases during the contest.
East Henderson steadily built their advantage, scoring three runs in the second inning and two in the third before putting the game away with a five-run fourth inning.
