Polk County’s junior varsity earned its first win of the season on Thursday, downing East Henderson 2-0 in a non-conference match in Flat Rock.
The Wolverines (1-1) took a hard-fought 25-11, 29-27 victory.
Sidney Carroll had six kills, seven assists and two aces for Polk County, with Elena Carroll adding four aces and four digs. Kylie Lewis finished with five digs, three kills and three aces.

Hayden Blackwell had seven assists and two kills while Lexi Beiler had two kills, two digs and three blocks. Jocelynn Rameriz added three digs.
The Wolverines wrap up their first week of the season on Saturday, traveling to West Henderson for a 10 a.m. match.
