Polk County will open its quest for a 2A state volleyball title on the road.
The Wolverines (14-7) travel Saturday to Franklin for a 4 p.m. game in the opening round of the state 2A playoffs.
Franklin enters as the second seed from the 2A portion of the Western North Carolina Athletic Conference. The Panthers finished with a 10-11 record.
