Polk Middle's Lucy Tessnair focuses on a pitch during Tuesday's game

Brevard Middle handed Polk Middle its first loss of the season on Wednesday and did so in emphatic fashion.

The Blue Devils held the Wolverines without a hit en route to an 18-0 victory in a Blue Ridge Conference matchup at Polk County Recreation Complex.

Polk Middle dropped to 3-1-1 with the loss. Brevard Middle improved to 2-2.

Camdyn Israel-Garrett and Kenzie Alm each drew walks for Polk’s lone baserunners in the three-inning loss.

The Wolverines are slated to host Canton on Tuesday in their final game before the school’s spring break.
