Polk County rising junior Alana Jergenson has been named to the North Carolina Softball Coaches Association 1A All-State squad.

The Wolverines’ starting shortstop, Jergenson led Polk County with a .510 batting average. She had 25 RBI, with six doubles, a triple and a homer.

Jergenson also led the team in on-base and slugging percentage.

North Stokes’ Lora Wood was named the 1A West Player of the Year, with teammate Autumn Martin named the 1A West Pitcher of the Year.
