Gosnell to take part in State Games softball tourney

Polk County rising junior Maranda Gosnell will play for Western North Carolina’s softball entry in this year’s State Games of North Carolina.

Gosnell will be part of the 11-player Region 8 team representing WNC in the Games, set for June 21-22 in Raleigh.

The team is coached by Michael Langone and Gary Payne of the N.C. Softball Coaches Association and Chase’s Daniel Bailey.
