Polk Middle tallies thrice in topping Hendersonville Middle

Polk County Middle defeated Hendersonville Middle 3-1 in Monday’s Blue Ridge Conference girls soccer game at Utz Field.

Addy Dedmon opened the scoring for the Wolverines when her corner kick deflected into the net off a defender. Rylie Klimstra added a goal on a pass from ScottLynn Whiteside, and Emily Dotson also scored for Polk Middle in the Wolverines’ regular-season home finale.

“We played very well,” Polk County Middle coach Blair Ruth said. “Our passes were crisp and we moved off the ball well. We had a lot of chances in their half.”

Polk County Middle (4-7-1) travels to East Henderson High School on Wednesday to face Flat Rock Middle.

Hendersonville Middle fell to 3-7-1.
