Polk County built a 14-point lead at the end of the first period and went on to rout Landrum, 56-35, in girls basketball action Tuesday at Polk County.
The Wolverines (4-0) defeated Landrum (1-3) for the second time in five days. Unlike Friday’s 52-44 win, though, Polk County didn’t have to overcome an early deficit.
The Wolverines opened a 33-18 halftime advantage and cruised from there, thanks in part to another solid all-around game from Hayley Kropp. The junior guard led Polk County with 20 points, shooting 7-of-10 from the field, and added six rebounds and six steals.
