Emmie McDowell scored 13 points and Jennifer Guerrero added 12 as Polk County’s junior varsity girls rolled to a 53-12 win Tuesday over East Henderson in basketball action at Polk.
The Wolverines, who improved to 3-0 with the win, built a 28-4 halftime lead, then extended the margin to 41-8 entering the fourth quarter.
Marissa Twitty added eight points for Polk, with Kaylin Jenkins and Emily Prince each scoring four, Anna McFadden scoring three and Makalya Staley, Savannah Parris, Alana Jergenson, Amy Chupp and Kiri Ashley each adding two points.

The Wolverines will return to action on Wednesday, traveling to North Buncombe.
