Wolverine girls nip T.C. Roberson for road win

Kara Overholt scored 18 points to lead Polk Count to a 46-44 win Tuesday night in non-conference basketball action in Skyland.

Improving to 5-2 overall, Polk County built a 25-16 halftime lead, then survived a late Roberson rally to snap a two-game losing streak.

Hayley Kropp added 12 points, four assists and three steals for Polk County, who also got eight points and eight rebounds from Sarah Phipps.

Polk County returns home Wednesday to host East Henderson in another non-conference game.
