Polk girls dominate West Henderson in 32-point blowout

Polk County delivered a defensive gem Friday night, shutting down West Henderson 51-19 in non-conference girls basketball play at Polk County.

The Wolverines (10-8) dominated the game from the outset, building a 16-4 lead at the end of the first period and a 35-12 lead at the half.

Kara Overholt scored 18 points, with four 3-pointers, and Hayley Kropp add 13 for Polk. Kropp had six steals and Ashley Kropp had five as the Wolverines had 15 steals as a team.

Sarah Phipps had 11 rebounds and Hayley Kropp had eight for the Wolverines.

Polk County returns to Western Highlands Conference play on Tuesday, traveling to Mitchell.
