Polk County senior Antonio Simpson has picked up his first Division I football scholarship offer.
Simpson posted on X (formerly Twitter) that he has received an offer from Georgia State. The Panthers are a member of the Sun Belt Conference.
Simpson has also received offers from Greensboro College and Culver-Stockton College in Missouri.
The 6-4 Simpson finished his career as Polk County’s all-time leading receiver with 2,513 yards. He was named the Mountain Foothills 7 Conference Player of the Year and selected for the East-West All-Star Game.
The early signing period for Division I football players runs Dec. 20-22, with the regular period beginning Feb. 7, 2024.
