Junior varsity football is returning to Polk County.
Wolverine head coach Dustin Fry said Tuesday that the program intends to field a JV football team this season. That will mark the first time the Wolverines have done so since 2022.
Fry said the number of players in the program has grown this offseason to a point where fielding a team this fall will be feasible. The Wolverines will likely play 4-5 games, and Fry said he is currently working on a schedule.
