Polk County runners named to All-Area teams

Five Polk County runners have been named to the Times-News All-Area Cross Country teams.

Juniors Braxton Edwards and Mark Teague were chosen for the boys squad. Edwards qualified for the state 1A meet and was an All-Western Highlands Conference selection, as was Teague, who placed fifth in the WHC championship.

Seniors Emma Brunell and Taytem Johnson and junior Olivia Overholt received spots on the girls squad. All three runners earned All-WHC honors this season.
