Overholt continues early-season success for PCMS cross country team

Polk County Middle’s Olivia Overholt won her second straight cross country meet, winning a Blue Ridge Conference race Tuesday at Apple Valley Middle School.

PCMS coach Katie Elliott said Overholt, the defending BRC champion, improved her time from last week’s meet by two seconds despite running in the rain.

Teammate Tori Thompson placed third.

“Overall the team did well for rainy conditions and for having just come back from a three-day weekend,” Elliott said.
