Polk County ended its regular season on Wednesday, dropping a 7-2 decision to Kings Mountain in a non-conference tennis match at Polk.
The Wolverines wrapped up a 7-7 season against a 3A Kings Mountain team currently undefeated in South Mountain Athletic Conference play.
Malik Miller earned a 10-2 win at No. 6 singles and Tyler Oxtoby and Henry Monts teamed for an 8-6 win at No. 1 doubles for the Wolverines’ two wins.
Polk County players will now compete Tuesday in the Western Highlands Conference tournament at Avery.
