Mountain Heritage nips Polk in WHC showdown

1 min read

Mountain Heritage handed Polk County’s boys tennis team its first conference loss on Wednesday, nipping the Wolverines 5-4 in a Western Highlands Conference match in Burnsville.

The Cougars remained undefeated in WHC play and now lead Polk by a game in the league title race.

“Without question credit Mountain Heritage for playing great tennis and getting the job done,” said Polk County head coach Richard Davis. “We now have to win out from this point forward to win the conference, which would include beating Mountain Heritage next time we play.”
