Polk County’s defense, anchored by center back Will Garrison, proved instrumental in securing the clean sheet. Garrison repeatedly turned away North Henderson’s direct attacking style while also providing an offensive threat with dangerous free kicks throughout the match.

The Knights employed an aggressive long-ball strategy from their defensive third, challenging Polk’s back line to deal with aerial threats throughout the evening. The Wolverines’ defensive unit proved up to the task, maintaining their composure to preserve the shutout.

Polk County will look to extend its unbeaten run when they travel to face Smoky Mountain in another non-conference matchup on Monday.
