Polk County’s JV boys soccer team built an early two-goal advantage Monday, but Smoky Mountain answered with three straight goals to rally for a 3-2 victory in Sylva.
Axel Ramirez put the Wolverines on the board with Alec Fine providing the assist, and Noah Gutierrez added Polk’s second goal off an assist from Tomas Santibanez.
That gave Polk a 2-0 lead, but Smoky Mountain responded with three unanswered goals to complete the comeback.
