Polk County Middle saw its boys soccer season come to an end Wednesday with a heartbreaking double-overtime 1-0 loss at Canton in the semifinals of the Blue Ridge Middle School Conference tournament.
The Bears (14-0) scored on a penalty kick late in the second overtime to take the win. Polk’s season ended with an 8-5-1 record.
“Exciting game, one that neither team should have to lose,” said Polk County Middle head coach Travis Aldred. “We played great, though. We left it all out on the field. The boys should have nothing to be ashamed of.”

VOLLEYBALL
