Polk JVs fall in season debut

Polk County’s junior varsity boys soccer team dropped its season opener Wednesday, falling 3-1 to West Henderson in G.M. Tennant Stadium.

West Henderson took a 2-0 lead into halftime, but Polk County answered early in the second half. Joshua Jarrett delivered a cross from the right side that Foster Meyer received and finished from short range, pulling the Wolverines within 2-1.

The Falcons added a late goal off a corner kick to secure the win.
