Polk County JV boys stifled by Hendersonville in 60-29 defeat

Hendersonville steadily pulled away over the final three quarters Tuesday, handing Polk County’s junior varsity boys a 60-29 setback in Hendersonville.

The Bearcats (10-3) built a 35-15 halftime lead, holding the Wolverines (2-10) to four points in the second period. Polk also scored four points in the third quarter as the Bearcats extended their lead.

Chase Stansbury hit a trio of 3-pointers to score nine points and pace Polk County. Khristian Littlejohn added eight points, with Cooper Rhodes and Khalil Austin each scoring four. Curtis Simmons and Nathaniel Harms each finished with two points.

Polk County will travel Friday to R-S Central for another Mountain Foothills 7 Conference game.
