Polk County senior Clark Phipps has been named to the All-Western Highlands Conference basketball team for the 2018-19 season.
Phipps led the Wolverines in scoring this season, averaging more than 18 points per game. He scored 37 points in his final home game, a 69-49 win over Robbinsville, to set a record for most points scored by a Polk County player at home.
Mountain Heritage’s Justus Shelton was named the conference player of the year, with Cougars’ coach Hank Newson named the coach of the year.
