Kropp, Wheeler earn all-district honors

Polk County seniors Hayley Kropp and Jamal Wheeler have been named to the All-District 12 squad by the North Carolina Basketball Coaches Association.

Kropp, who led Western North Carolina in scoring and became Polk County’s all-time leading scorer this season, earned first-team honors. Wheeler, who also led WNC in scoring, earned a second-team selection.

Pisgah’s Brooklyn Allen and Hayesville’s Zach Cottrell were named the district players of the year.
