Polk County’s boys golf team delivered another solid showing Tuesday, defeating Maiden by 51 strokes in a dual match at Glen Oaks Golf Club in Maiden.

The Wolverines posted a team score of 318 to easily top Maiden’s 369. Maiden will serve as the host school for the 2A West Regional tournament later this year.

Casey Beiler posted a score of 76 to lead Polk County, his round including a birdie-eagle flurry on the 16th and 17th holes, both par-4s.

Evan Jones finished with an 80, with Reilly Yoder and Myles Menetre each carding an 81. Avery Harden finished with an 83.

“I was very pleased with their results,” said Polk County head coach Pat McCool.

The Wolverines are next on the course on Tuesday, facing Mitchell in a dual match at Grassy Creek Golf and Country Club.
