Polk County bested West Henderson on Tuesday in a non-conference boys golf match at Cummings Cove Golf & Country Club in Hendersonville.

The Wolverines finished with a team score of 322, topping the Falcons by 18 strokes.

Evan Jones led the way for Polk County with a 77, with Casey Beiler and Reilly Yoder each recording 81s. Avery Harden added an 83.

“We started out slowly, but played the back nine much better,” said Polk County head coach Pat McCool. “Evan played well again. Reilly was eight-over after eight and was two-over the last 10 holes.”

Myles Menetre finished with a 103 and Jaden Chupp had a 115 for the Wolverines.

Polk County will travel Thursday to Bright’s Creek, hosting Landrum, Hendersonville and Mitchell in a match set to begin at 12:30 p.m.
