Polk Middle golfers fall to Hendersonville Middle on soggy Cummings Cove tract

Polk County Middle’s golf team battled tough conditions Wednesday at Cummings Cove, dropping a dual match with Hendersonville Middle.

The Wolverines recorded a score of 249, with the Bearcats posting a 224 to win the match. This week’s rains saturated the course and made things tough for Polk against a good Hendersonville squad.

Sixth grader Addie Buss posted a 61 to lead the Wolverines, followed by David Amitrano with a 62 and Brockton Davis and Braedyn Davis each with 63s.

Polk Middle is set to return to action on Tuesday, taking part in a tri-match with Hendersonville Middle and Apple Valley Middle at Meadowbrook Golf Club.
