Emory, Lynch pace Polk golfers in tri-match

Carson Emory earned runner-up honors Wednesday for Polk County during a nine-hole tri-match at Meadowbrook Golf Course.

Emory posted a score of 39 to finish two shots behind medalist Austin Alexander of R-S Central. Brevard’s Graham Phillips fired a 40 to claim third place.

R-S Central won the tightly-contested match by two strokes over Brevard, with Polk County in third just 14 strokes back.

Polk County is slated to return to action on Tuesday, competing at Village Greens.
