Christ School rallied Wednesday from an early 5-0 deficit, scoring four runs in the fourth and fifth innings to hand Polk County a 9-5 defeat in non-conference baseball action in Asheville.

The Wolverines (6-12) scored all five of their runs in the first inning, with Wes Brady’s two-run hit the key blow.

But Christ School (16-3) rallied with a run in the bottom of the first, tied the game in the fourth and then scored four in the fifth to take the lead.

Brady had two hits for Polk County, which also got two hits from Konner Scruggs.

Polk County returns to Western Highlands Conference play on Friday, traveling to Mitchell.
