East Henderson erupted for 10 runs in the second inning Thursday en route to a 15-2 win over Polk County in junior varsity baseball action in Flat Rock.
The Wolverines (0-2) struck first as Donte Tingling walked and Aaden Denton followed with a single, with an error on the play allowing Tingling to score and give Polk an early 1-0 advantage.
The Eagles answered with two runs in the bottom of the first, then put together the 10-run second inning to take command of the game.

Polk added its final run in the fourth inning as Zach McCraw walked, then scored on Phillip Teague’s two-out single.
Teague finished 1-for-2, with Will Jarrett and Denton recording Polk’s other hits.
Polk County returns to action on Tuesday, hosting Hendersonville for a 4 p.m. game.
