Wolverines fall to Maiden in tri-meet at Cherryville

Polk County dropped a narrow 48-30 decision to Maiden on Monday in a wrestling tri-meet held at Cherryville.

The Wolverines (2-3) got wins on the mat from Satchel McCoy and Jacob Knighton plus forfeit victories for Charlie Jackson, Bryson McCraw and Daniel Watkins.

Polk County is set to be back in action on Wednesday, hosting Cherryville and conference for Madison in a tri-meet beginning at 5:30 p.m.
