Polk County Middle delivered another win Monday, following its usual pattern en route to handing Flat Rock Middle a 71-31 setback in a Blue Ridge Conference wrestling match at Polk.
The Wolverines improved to 8-0 on the season with the win and extending their ongoing victory streak to 40 matches. With Hendersonville Middle losing to Brevard Middle, Polk Middle now owns a two-match lead over the rest of its East Division rivals.
Flat Rock (4-2) trailed 18-10 after five matches, but won just one of the next seven encounters as the Wolverines dominated the lower weights. Polk Middle clinched the team win at 157 pounds as Andy Serrano scored a quick pin of Yahir Hernandez.

Following a pair of forfeits, the Wolverines closed the day with wins by Xander Worley and Gabe Nelon.
Polk Middle will conclude its pre-Christmas schedule on Thursday, hosting Hendersonville Middle.
