Wolverines earn WHC victory at Madison

Polk County earned a hard-fought 42-30 victory over Madison on Tuesday in a Western Highlands Conference match in Marshall.

The Wolverines improved to 7-8 overall, 3-2 in WHC matches.

Jacob Knighton scored the Wolverines’ lone win by pin, with Daniel Watkins, Bryson McCraw and Charlie Jackson all earning victories by major decision.

The Wolverines picked up four wins by forfeit to complete the victory.

Polk County returns home Friday to face Owen in a Western Highlands Conference battle. That match begins at 5:30 p.m. and will be streamed live via the NFHS Network.
