Polk Middle completed a sweep through the first half of its Blue Ridge Conference East Division schedule, downing Rugby Middle 75-27 in a BRC wrestling match Thursday in Mills River.
The Wolverines concluded the first half of their conference schedule with an 9-0 record overall, 5-0 in East Division matches. Rugby dropped to 3-3, 2-3.
Polk Middle raced to a 27-0 lead, winning the first five matches of the day. Rugby enjoyed some success in the middle weights before the Wolverines won the final five matches to complete their win.
