Polk County opened its Mountain Foothills 7 Conference schedule on a winning note Tuesday, defeating East Rutherford as part of a tri-match at Kings Mountain High School.
The Wolverines notched a 48-22 win over the Cavaliers in their MF7 debut. Polk also wrestled the host school, falling 66-12 to Kings Mountain in a non-conference match.
Collier Foster and Jaydyn Virgil each swept their matches during the evening.

Polk County is slated to be back in action on Dec. 29, hosting Shelby and Chase for a tri-match beginning at 5:30 p.m. Both matches will be shown live on NFHS Network.
