1 min read

Polk County junior Tori Strickland was eliminated Saturday in the quarterfinals of the 2021 NCHSAA Women’s Wrestling Invitational in Kernersville.

Competing in the 106B class, Strickland received an unexpected bye in her first-round match. That advanced her to a matchup with McDowell’s Morgan Repasky, with Repasky scoring a first-period pin to claim the match.

Repasky eventually reached the championship match and placed second to Hoke County’s Laila Sa.
