Short-handed Wolverines drop opening wrestling matches

Polk County opened its 2013-2014 wrestling season on Tuesday night, dropping a pair of matches in a tri-meet at East Rutherford.

With a starting roster not completely filled due to the ongoing state football playoffs, the Wolverines forfeited a handful of weight classes in each match, dropping a 66-12 decision to Patton and a 51-30 decision to East Rutherford.

Polk County’s Chase Emory at 138 and Drew Wahon at 285 each won both of their matches for the evening.
