Season ends for Polk wrestlers at 2A West Regional

Polk County’s wrestling season came to an end Saturday during the 2A West Regional at West Lincoln High School.

Senior Collier Foster came closest to a top-four finish and earning a trip to next week’s state tournament. Foster made a charge through the 132-pound consolation bracket, winning three matches Saturday before falling to R-S Central’s Caleb Cox. Cox went on to place third in the division.

Deaken Nodine and Jaydyn Virgil also won matches Saturday before being eliminated.
