Polk Middle wrestlers battle, but fall at Apple Valley

Apple Valley continued to flex its Blue Ridge Conference wrestling muscles on Thursday, powering past Polk County Middle 72-36 in Hendersonville.

The undefeated Knights won nine straight matches from 100 to 154 pounds to take control of the outcome.

“Apple Valley showed us why they are the best team in the conference,” said Polk Middle head coach Jerry Cox. “The team continues to improve and their energy and wortk ethic remain high.”

Polk County dropped to 4-4 on the season. The Wolverines host Hendersonville Middle on Monday.
