Apple Valley’s wrestling team had both quantity and quality Wednesday.
The Knights, with some 70 wrestlers on the roster, handed Polk County Middle an 81-24 defeat in a Blue Ridge Conference match held at Polk County High School.
In their first home match of the season, the Wolverines (1-1) received wins from Jacob Ed, Charles Jackson, Luke Miller and Conner Cantwell.

Polk Middle returns to the mat on Monday, traveling to Hendersonville Middle.
