Polk County sophomore Chase Emory is ranked ninth in the preseason state 2A individual wrestling rankings authored by RetroRankings.com.

Emory placed third in the Western Highlands Conference meet last season as a freshman at 126 pounds and reached the consolation semifinals of the 2A Western Regional at 132, falling one win shy of advancing to the state tournament. Emory had one of the most successful freshman seasons in school history and is expected to be in action Tuesday as Polk County opens its season with a tri-match at home.
