Hunter Huss ended Polk County’s appearance in the state 2A dual team playoffs on Tuesday, handing the Wolverines a 60-18 setback in first-round action at East Burke High School.
Hunter Huss then defeated Central Academy 49-24 to advance to the playoffs’ third round on Thursday.
Anthony Marino, Jerry Cox and Cameron Reed each won their matches on Tuesday for Polk County, which will now turn its attention to the 2A Western Regional set for Feb. 13-14 at West Lincoln High School.
