Bell notches 100th career victory in regional opener

Polk County’s Carson Bell earned his 100th career win in the opening round of Friday’s 3A West Regional tourney at West Lincoln High School.

Bell, a senior, scored a major decision over Hendersonville’s Brendan Lewis in the first round of the 157-pound class to notch his milestone victory.

Bell later lost to Lincolnton’s Gabriel Robinson to move his career record to 100-55. He will continue action Saturday in the consolation bracket.
