Apple Valley wrestlers slip past Polk Middle

Apple Valley ended Polk County Middle’s unbeaten division record on Wednesday, handing the Wolverine wrestlers a 51-45 setback in Hendersonville.

The loss drops Polk County’s record to 7-3 overall, with a 5-1 record in Blue Ridge Conference East Division matches.

The Wolverines still lead Apple Valley (5-3, 4-2), Flat Rock and Rugby by one match in the East Division race.

Polk Middle returns home Monday to host Hendersonville Middle in another East Division matchup.
