Wolverines tune up for big conference week with sweep of Eagles

Polk County tuned up Monday for a pair of key conference games with a non-conference sweep of East Henderson at Polk.

The Wolverines earned a 25-14, 25-17, 25-11 victory over East Henderson (0-11), improving to 5-5 this season.

Polk County travels to Brevard (6-1, 4-0) on Tuesday for a matchup of the only remaining undefeated teams in Mountain Foothills 7 Conference play before hosting Patton (10-1, 3-1) on Thursday.

Sophia Overholt had eight kills, six digs and three blocks for Polk County, with Ada Kelley recording seven kills and two blocks. Mia Bradley had five kills and three digs.

Morgan Yoder had three kills and five blocks, with Zaelea Eller notching 12 assists. Ella Waldman had 10 digs while Amberlyn Scruggs had four assists.

All 14 Wolverines appeared in the game and recorded at least one dig.
