
Polk County suffered no letdown Thursday from its big win over Brevard.
The Wolverines trekked to Patton and easily dispatched the Panthers, taking a 25-16, 25-12, 25-14 victory in Mountain Foothills 7 Conference volleyball play.
Polk County improved to 14-1 overall, 7-0 in league matches. Patton dropped to 9-4, 3-4.
Sophia Overholt had 17 kills and 12 digs to lead Polk County, with Morgan Yoder adding seven kills and four blocks. Ada Kelley had eight kills, six digs and three blocks.
Elena Carroll finished with six kills and six digs while Mia Bradley had 18 assists, 11 digs, two kills and two blocks. Amberlyn Scruggs added 14 assists and nine digs.
Ella Waldman had 12 digs and four assists for Polk County, which returns home Tuesday to host Hendersonville. The Wolverines could clinch one of the MF7’s two automatic playoff berths with a win in that contest, which will be streamed live on NFHS Network.
