Polk County’s volleyball team continued its perfect start to the 2019 season on Monday with a 3-0 victory at Shelby.
The Wolverines improved to 4-0 with a 25-10, 25-9, 25-21 victory.
Marilyn Castillo lead a balanced attack with seven kills, with Kristen Hall adding five. Mireya Roman finished with four kills and three blocks while Grace Lauer had four kills.
Sydney Waldman had 16 assists and 10 digs while Landry Edwards had 10 digs and three aces.
Polk County will travel Thursday to Brevard, traditionally one of its toughest non-conference rivals. JV action begins at 5 p.m. with the varsity to follow.
