Polk County's Jocelynn Ramirez bumps a shot during a recent match

Polk County extended its winning streak to seven matches on Tuesday, rolling to a 3-0 victory at R-S Central in Mountain Foothills 7 Conference volleyball action.

The Wolverines claimed a 25-16, 25-13, 25-17 victory, improving to 9-1 overall, 3-0 in conference play. The 9-1 start is the program’s best under head coach Molly Hill except for the 10-0 record compiled in the shortened 2020-21 season.

R-S Central dropped to 5-4, 0-3 with the loss.

Amberlyn Scruggs had 26 assists, nine digs and four aces for Polk County, with Zaelea Eller recording eight assists and eight digs.

Morgan Yoder had 12 kills and four digs, with Sophia Overholt adding nine kills and 21 digs. Mia Bradley had eight kills and four digs.

Ada Kelley added five kills and five digs while Elysia Smith had four kills and four blocks. Ella Waldman added 10 digs for the Wolverines.

Polk County returns home Wednesday to face East Henderson in a non-conference match that will be shown live on NFHS Network.
