Polk County had plenty of work to do Thursday after dropping the first two sets against R-S Central.
The Wolverines did all of it.
Polk rallied from a two-set deficit, using decisive runs in each of the final three sets to claim a 13-25, 22-25, 25-11, 25-20, 15-10 victory at Polk County.

The comeback began immediately in the third set, with the Wolverines racing to a 9-0 lead. Polk never allowed R-S Central back into the set, rolling to the 25-11 win that kept the match alive.
The fourth set required a much different rally. R-S Central held a 19-14 advantage and stood six points away from ending the match before Polk suddenly took control. The Wolverines scored eight straight points to move in front and closed the set on an 11-1 run, winning 25-20 to force a fifth.
Neither team could gain much separation early in the deciding set, which was tied at 8-8. Polk then scored four straight points to grab a 12-8 advantage. R-S Central answered with two points, but the Wolverines forced three consecutive hitting errors to finish the comeback.
Kenzie Alm and Reeve Carroll each had 13 kills for Polk County. Alm added 12 assists, 15 digs and three aces, while Carroll recorded 24 digs.
Abby Lewis had 27 assists, 11 digs and four aces, with Claire Lawrence leading the defense with 34 digs. Beija Olivari added eight kills and 20 digs.
The victory improved the Wolverines to 3-1. Polk County is scheduled to travel to Asheville Christian Academy on Tuesday.
