Wolverines mark Senior Night with sweep of Cavaliers

Polk County celebrated its seniors and then celebrated another win, topping East Rutherford 3-0 in a Mountain Foothills 7 Conference volleyball match at Polk.

The Wolverines claimed a 25-19, 25-11, 25-16 victory, improving to 10-11 overall, 6-5 in conference play. Polk closes its regular season on Thursday, hosting conference-leading Brevard.

Prior to the match, Polk honored seniors Kinsley Huskey and Anna Morton.

Sophia Overholt had 14 kills and seven digs for the Wolverines, with Morgan Yoder adding eight kills. Ada Kelley had five kills and five digs while Elena Carroll had four kills and seven digs.

Mia Bradley finished with 15 assists and four digs, with Amberlyn Scruggs adding 14 assists and three aces and Elysia Smith finishing with eight assists.

Ella Waldman had 19 digs, Morton had six digs and Huskey finished with four blocks and three kills.
